Yesilvadi Diversion Weir and HEPP Project

Yesilvadi Diversion Weir and HEPP Project is located on Delicay Stream at Dortyol District in Southern Turkey.  The purpose of the Project  is to produce 35.67 GWh energy with 10.30 MW installed capacity. There are two identical horizontal axis Francis turbines in the powerhouse.

4443.00m long conveyance system consists of FRP (Fiber Reinforced Pipe) and 315m long steel penstock. The gross head is 166m. In this pressurized system no surge tank is foreseen. But instead PRV’s (pressure relief valve) are used as protective measure against water hammer effect.

Feasibility, final design and implementation projects are carried out by ERGES . The system is working successfully since 2013.
