- Advise the EFCA Board and Secretariat on communications issues
- Develop EFCA’s Communication Strategy and annual Communication Plan
- Support the implementation of the Plan
- Seek new opportunities, media contacts etc. to increase EFCA’s visibility, both internally and externally
- Periodically review and propose improvements to EFCA’s communication tools (website, extranet, publications, brochure, general presentation material etc.)
- Provide content for EFCA’s publications (Voice, Bulletin, brochure, Members' Projects section of website etc.) and/or copy for articles to be submitted to external publications in the name of EFCA
In early 2010, EFCA reactivated the Communications Advisory Group.
The main functions of this network of national associations’ professionals in communications are:
- to contribute to the development of EFCA’s communications strategy and its implementation
- to provide a professional network that is available to react rapidly in case of need, so that EFCA can provide timely, clear and knowledgeable messages on important topics and developments.
The group will mostly operate at distance via telephone, mail and extranet.
Recent and ongoing communication actions include:
- President’s meeting with national press (November 2009- Copenhagen, March 2010 - Amsterdam and Dublin, April 2010 - Helsinki, May 2010 - Rome, June 2010 - Vienna)
- EFCA contributions to ‘Construction Europe’ magazine
- CEO meeting of major European firms
- National Public Procurement seminars
- European Young Professionals competition and Young Professionals forum at the 28 May 2010 Conference in Rome
- European Sector Review.
