Recast EU Directive is key milestone on long road to energy efficient buildings
With the approval by the European Parliament of the text of the recast of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, a key piece of legislation for the construction sector is set to come into force. However, the European Construction Forum (ECF), of which EFCA is member, calls for more action to upgrade the energy efficiency of existing building stock.
The ECF has issued a press release calling on the European Institutions and Member States to pay attention to four priority areas of action, with the objective of meeting long term goals for a low carbon economy.
