Meeting in Luxembourg last week for the General Assembly, the members of the European Federation of Consulting Engineering Associations voted to accept the Georgian Association of Consulting Engineers (ACEG) into the family.
Founded in 2017, ACEG brings more than 50 member firms and engineers to the network, expanding its diverse community of consulting engineering associations, all of which share the commitment to advancing professional standards and collaboration across Europe. Demonstrating the common values and mission that unite all EFCA members: to promote the sector on a European level, while representing the interests of consulting engineering firms in the EU policy making process; ACEG’s membership brings the total number of countries covered by the Federation to 27.
Irakli Khergiani, ACEG President and founding member, expressed pride in joining EFCA: “We are honoured to become part of EFCA and look forward to working closely with other member associations through the Committees and Working Groups. This is an important milestone for ACEG, and we thank the EFCA members for their confidence and warm welcome.”
With the addition of ACEG, EFCA further strengthens its position as the only federation at European level representing the interests of consulting engineering firms. As the sector continues to navigate the challenges and opportunities of AI and other disruptive innovation, the climate emergency, the green and digital transitions and a rapidly changing European and global market, EFCA remains committed to enhancing collaboration with policy makers and other key players in the construction ecosystem.
